hakone in autumn

Hi :)

I'm gonna share about the day we visited Hakone in November. I know that it's been a while but I wanted to share about one of my favorite places in Japan! My boyfriend, Luka was also in Japan so my sister took us to a little adventure!

We only went places where it's easier to go by car since Luke had broken his ankle and he was walking with crutches. The first place we went to was this beautiful golden susuki grass field in Sengokuhara. It was a windy day and it was so amazing to see all the susuki grass was waving to the same direction like a golden ocean.

After that, we went to Owakudani, which is a volcanic valley with active sulfur vents and hot springs. (Wikipedia lol) I have been a few times when I was younger, so I enjoyed visiting as a tourist once again. And we enjoyed having some hot spring boiled eggs! And we also went on a ropeway like kids to enjoy this magnificent view with Mt. Fuji.

After that, we went to our favorite spot in Hakone, "Amazake-chaya Tea House". You can have amazing Amazake and Japanese mochi sweets here and the people who work here are so sweet! Whenever we come to Hakone, we have to stop this place to have a little snack and tea before we go home.

This was so old things to post but I wanted to remember + Hakone would be always one of the best places to visit in Japan. So, why not!? I'll try to update this blog at least once... twice a month, mainly for MYSELF. lol If you read all, thank you so much and hope you enjoyed :)

xx Hikari
